Last Minute Tag Dilemma
I have hunted Coues (unsuccessfully) the past 2 years with my friend John in Unit 35A. John is an awesome host, and a superb hunter. Well, this year, some thing have come up and I can’t go down.
I pouted for awhile, and wasn’t going to put in for anything. Then I said “Well, it would be silly not to put in for a bonus point at least”. Now I am getting the itch. My wife has some health issues that require me to stick close to home, so I am considering Units close by. I am thinking 22, 37A, 37B, 33, 24B. The flips side is these closer Units take some scouting or someone that knows the Unit well. I want to hunt, but I don’t want to waste the tag either. Mulie or Coues – I have no preference.
Regardless, I can bowhunt so that is good too
The kicker is the tag app has to be in the mail tonight/first thing Monday morning, or hand-delivered on Tuesday.
