I really need to thank Vince Kite over at Alpine Archery – they have been extremely generous! As stated in my post about my bow project, I decided on my components ahead of time. I let the manufacturers know as a courtesy. Some offered free or reduced pricing, some did not. That is fine, as scoring freebies was not my intent. Anyway, Vince replied to my e-mail letting him know that I wanted to purchase their stabilizer. He offered me a free one to review, along with whatever else I wanted. I thanked him for their generous offer, ad said that the stabilizer was all that I really needed at this time. He responded that if it was OK, he’d still like to send some goodies my way. I said that would be fine. Imagine my surprise when a box arrived with the stabilizer, a 3-arrow quiver, 5-arrow quiver, cable slide, drop-away rest, catalogs, and a cool Alpine hat!

The stabilizer, cable slide and 5-arrow quiver will be reviewed by me and incorporated into the bow project. The 3-arrow quiver will probably replace the one on my Diamondback VX – I didn’t like that quiver much anyway and was looking for a new one. The Match Grade,Whisperflite Rest I will be sending to my friend Dan Clark so he can do a review. Dan is a great writer and I’ll post his review as a Guest Blogger this summer.

I know these manufacturers get bombarded with people looking for free stuff. That’s why I don’t pester them for freebies. Discounts are appreciated, but not necessary. The same with free product. Vince and Alpine have been generous and seem to have a genuine interest in what I am doing. That is cool.
