Dear Sportsmen,

Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife will be holding its first annual Legislative Policy Formulation Meeting on Tuesday, October 9 from 6:30 – 9PM. The meeting will be held at the National Bank of Arizona Corporate Headquarters at the adjoining Conference Center. The address is 6001 North 24th Street. in Phoenix.

I tried to find a Saturday that would work for this meeting but due to hunting schedules, this appeared to be one of the few days that might work for the majority of sportsmen. I attempted to schedule the meeting late enough so that most could get here without having to leave work too early. Hopefully all or most of you will be able to participate.

The purpose of the meeting will be twofold: (1) to review AZSFW’s existing General Guidelines and Public Policy Document to determine if any modifications need to be made and (2) to identify potential pubic policy issues for 2008. Recommendations from this meeting will be referred to the AZSFW Board of Directors at its November meeting.

Your input is needed and encouraged. We need to understand what issues our sportsmen throughout the state, Arizona’s wildlife and its habitat are facing so that we can formulate strategies to address those issues. Please send me a list of issues that you would like to discuss at the meeting.

I will be emailing via separate email a copy of our existing General Guidelines and Public Policy Statement for your review prior to the meeting.

Please let me know if there are other individuals that you would like to invite to this meeting so that I can extend an invitation.
